Fig Tree Bay

Fig Tree Bay

This Cyprus beach is the most popular within Protaras Beach . The British christened it "Fig Tree Bay" and the name was given after the single fig tree that stands guard back from the beach and is claimed to have been brought from the east in the 17 th century. The beach has fine-grained sand, the sea is clear and it is supplied with recreational facilities like water-skiing, paragliding and more. Many tourists on Cyprus holiday, however, find it difficult to spot the beach itself, as it is not signed from the inland bypass road, lined by a chain of restaurants. Only the hotels are indicated. If you decide to spend your Cyprus holiday here, remember that Salparo Hotel Apartments mark the north end of the bay, and the Nausicaa Beach Hotel Apartments the southern edge.
